The spider has molted again and I can see it's shed at the bottom. Its tunnels have all be obscured by moss so I can't see into her tunnels.

(feeding on a superworm)

the plant grew and split into two separate plants =P

Caught a larger trapdoor spider. Took a pic.

after not seeing the spider for a while, I decided to rehouse her, but when I emptied out the box, the spider was nowhere to be seen!

after checking and flipping around for a while, I realized it had somehow escaped  :( . I could catch another one, and i'll look around my house.

lets hope I find her.

Nooooo...oh well, better luck next time...tarantulas or spiders in general are pretty good esxape artists and can squeeze through some pretty tight gaps. I had a medium- ish spider thag I found inside my house once escale that way and scared the daylights out of all of me

Proverbs 6:6-8 New International Version (NIV)

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
    no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Sorry about the loss... Still keep an eye out for him/her, though! I once found a leopard gecko in my house five years after it escaped.

AAAAANNNNNNDDDD WERE BACK!

Went anting yesterday and saw not a single ant... but found 3 Ts, all presumed to be phlogiellus xinping. I caught a large male, dark brown in color and around 4cm in leg span. right now in a enclose similar to the old one albeit larger and with a fern and some moss. He built a small silk tunnel under the moss, no signs of digging yet.

P.S. Never found the old one...

Nice! I keep mostly Phlogius spp. tarantulas which are very similar.
I have 5 P."stents", 3 P. pq113 "Blue Legs", 1 P.crassipes, 1 P. goliath, 1 P.rubisetta and one Phlogius that I'm having a mental blank about, it'll come to me! I also have a Selenotypus plumipes "featherleg" and 10 Selenotypus "sp.2" slings.
They're all waking up for summer now so things are getting busy.

Its, getting colder here, so most of the ants have reduced their movement speed.

I've basically been exploring ant keeping while waiting for my scorpions and tarantulas to wake up!
