We can trade 1 camponotous clarithorax and one veromessor pergandei queen for the colony. They both have brood.

Not a good trade as these are two fragile queens while a COLONY of proven fertile queens and Solenopsis multiplies VERY quickly. Also, Camponotus and Veromessor can take a while to reach worker stage.

I think it is a good trade :) camponotus slow progression I find interesting as you don't miss much even looking only once a week or once every 2 weeks. idk about veromessor!

He didn't get them from us. We canceled the trade when we found out how illegal it is to mail queens.

He knew the entire time. He had done it before after being informed of its illegality.

Oh, no. We canceled the trade. Which explains why he wrote what he did on this thread.

I'm not debating that point, it is entirely correct.

Also, I'm glad he cancelled the trade. He claims he only imported "native" ants, but Myrmecocystus are not present in Alabama.

Lets stay on topic.

No need to discuss any shipping or past shipping/legality issues when this listing clearly states "No shipping". Should take it to a PM if it's that much of an issue to you. Regardless of whatever was done in the past, there's 0 reason to bring it up in current threads.

You're only causing issues.

He is talking about Alabama anter. And as for you and agolds, trade. I think it's fair. None of my business either way though.

Actually, i am not talking about Alabam anter at all. Alabama did the necessary thing i'd hope any hobbyist would do, which is let the traders know the risks that are coming with it. I traded a 40 worker crematogaster colony for 2 parasitic lasius queens i i had planned for my queenless panera cup colony and wished i didn't shortly after. Nobody let me know how bad of a trade that was. It seems like the trade is still good, and now both sides understand what's actually happening.

Not to point blame at any one, but the problem is caused by everyone else pointing at AA and voicing their thoughts on his alleged illegal shipping.
