I have a year and a half old husky dog. Her name is Kaia and she is very sweet but does not get along with our Australian Cattle dog. Unfortunately an even occurred which led to the cattle dog going to the Emergency Vet and getting stitches. This prompted us to try and find Kaia a new home urgently, because we don't want the two to come into contact with each other. It has been a week and a half with no lunch at all and it's becoming more and more difficult to have them in the same house and not be in contact. Kaia is only aggressive towards Nellie, no other dogs. She is very sweet and cuddly towards every human, and we do believe she would be very adoptable, but not many people we know are able to take on a husky.

I understand this is an ant forum but I can't imagine a more responsible group of people that might be able to care for her or might know someone who could. I'm willing to adopt her to anyone who is able to take good care from her anywhere in California, but you would have to come here to meet/get her.

I would, but I already got two huskies. They don't even get along with strange people, let alone strange dogs. They are naturally just mean, not usually to people but to other dogs.

I'm in northern california and I also would really love to take her but I am an amateur dog keeper and I heard Huskeys are pretty difficult but also my parents wouldn't let me.

This is what I have heard from every other husky owner... I want a miniature Siberian husky. 8 month wait time! I purchased one :)

Well, me and my wife really want a dog.

Except were in Southern California

In an apartment (no idea how some here keep a huge dog inside their apartment unit. That seems VERY mean to the dog, especially a really big dog)

With cats

and apartment is kinda small actually with all of us crowded into it

And pet rent is stupid expensive for even a single cat

But. Hopefully your husky goes to a good home :)

Yeah, huskies are very very active dogs that require walks at least 3-5 times a week or a large yard for you to play with them in, or if you have a couple of them let them play together :P (which is not as fun) this dog will be your best friend, learns very fast, with training will protect you, and can pull a sled if it really needs :P These are smart, strong, beautiful dogs, and if he is giving this dog away it is a steal. An apartment may not be so bad for the dog as long as you actively care for him with grooming, bathing, walking, and playing. He will be tired if you walk him every day ( which isn't a bad thing ) My friend breeds these dogs, I've had 3 at one point. But sadly they passed away and we wanted more, but ones that could look like a baby their whole life aka miniature Siberian huskies.
