Location found: In a wood pile near my swamp

 

Age of colony: 1 year old

 

Workers/nanitics: 41

 

Majors: 2

Ah my biggest and most active colony. Last night I got to watch a worker get eclosed AND a short time later the queen lay eggs on the same night. By far my msot active colony, its normal to have several workers in the outworld. I'm expecting this colony to get up to 2-300 workers by the end of the year. They hibernated with 14 workers, 2 majors, and 1-200 eggs. She has major pupae and i can't wait to see them eclose!

small update, the first major of the year has eclosed to these girls. she has 5 more major pupae currently

These girls are one of my most successful colonies. the first true major eclosed this morning while i watched. also since the last update the colony has about 2-3 more sub majors. this colony constantly has a ton of brood. the queen is averaging about 30 eggs a batch.

Update: This colony is growing slowly but surely. They have a bad habit of getting into the sponge and i have to save them. That happens once ever 1-2 days. Just like the Red Army they love live prey
