By too wide, do you mean too thick? Everything looks normal from where I'm sitting. But then, I have no idea where your going with this yet.

Use a belt sander when it's fully or almost fully cured to remove small amounts of material. But just a heads up, fine grout dust and like cements can harm your lungs severely.

Yeah, basically. I failed to take into mind that the two on the sides were going to take up some space in the front with their sides, if you now what I mean. So when I tried to fit in, it won't fit in between the two on the sides. Amatuer mistake. I can't believe I forgot to take that into consideration.

Yeah, when I was pouring it I breathed in a lot. Then I read the back of the box. ("Caution" This product has been known to cause lung cancer. ) I have been covering my face up and breathing through my jacket ever since when messing with it. Hope it's not to late.

Well I was going to do two small nests on the sides, and a large on the front. However now I think I am going to have to do a large on the front and put one of my small ones on the back like this.

Ahh, now I'm on the same page. You could recut the glass on the long one and like Kevin said sand a small amount off each side until they fit snug. I've been dealing with grouts and glues for almost 20 years and I'm still kickin, for now. :crazy: It's true they are toxic but they oversell it to cover their own buts. Live hard, you gotta die of something.

I just took one of the molds out, and I needed an emergency nest for one of my colonies as the other one was growing mold. So I just was using two molds, and since this is a test and trial kind of thing, it isn't a big deal. So here is the next steps I did.
Sorry for the really bad pictures.

From here I poured the mold. The idea with the sponge was to absorb water so this thing dried quicker. It worked out really well in the end. The hole is where the lighting system will go.

After it dried, I spent an hour getting it out of the container, making the top even, filling in holes and did some sanding.

I still have a lot of work to do, and in the second picture holes I filled in were still wet. So it looks bad in the second picture, but it will look better.... I hope.
