I have two questions, the first being where would we pick up these colonies? The other is, for the myrmecocystus mexicanus, what does the dirt ant farm mean, what does it look like?

You have posted in both Californian and Florida sale/adoption threads requesting to purchase ant colonies. You can only purchase colonies that are within your state. Having them shipped, or even self carrying them over state lines is illegal. You gotta pick one... and if your not in either of these states, then your going to be looking for other ant people in your state. :)

Really eyeing those novomessor cockerelli... I remember you said plastic containers are fine with them; feeding requirements?  Best food source for them? On fence whether I should wait and try to catch some queens in spring, or just purchase.
