Location:  O'Neill Regional Park, Orange County, California.
Habitat:  Coastal sage scrub.
Coloration, hue and pattern:  All red with three small black dots on the head.
Length:  8mm.
Distinguishing characteristics:  Very large eyes, long and slender, and behaves like a wasp
