Hi Guys,

Has anyone seen this behavior with an queen ants abdomen folded like this? She has been doing this for several days. Please note there is about two eggs on the side of her abdomen as well as some on the test tube. Any ideas?

This is normal behavior, she is most likely cleaning herself. Unless she is stuck in this position, I wouldn't worry about it.

Here's my leopard gecko/ant youtube: https://goo.gl/cRAFbK

My ant website.

It contains a lot of information about ants, guides, videos, links, and more!

If you have any feedback, please post here or PM me, don't be shy!

I currently keep:

Camponotus modoc

Formica podzolica

Well, she's not supposed to be in that position 100% of the time.  Are you saying that is what is happening?  You've not seen her leave that position and straighten out at any point?
