I have a 300 worker colony of Tetramorium I think I want to get rid of. They are starting to cost em quite a bit of money. If anybody wants them I would gladly sell them to you. They are in a piece of Haven. Contact me at mydrogun@gmail.com

I am so confused. I thought drtrmiller said he would allow the transport of certain ants across state lines. You did not seem to disagree.

I am not the owner of the forum.  Drew has different policies for the forum which involve his own personal interpretation of the laws, which are more conservative than my own interpretation.

While the forum rules only forbid discussion of the transport of "nonnative ants," I think it is the unspoken policy of the forum to not allow the sale of ant queen across state lines, as is consistent with the USDA's broad enforcement of the Plant Protection Act.  Under this policy, there is little doubt as to the legality of the sale.

These types of misunderstandings will continue as long as there is a lack of clarity to the overly broad and vague laws we have in this country that affect plant pests, which include many, but not all ants.  We will be discussing these issues in greater detail in forum chat on November 12, 2015.
