Can acrylic paints be used in formicariums?
If not, what have some of you used that works?
It would be good to know, what doesn't work as well

Never had any issues using acrylic paints on formicariums. But I do tend to only paint areas the ants themselves do not actually touch.

Acrylic paint isn’t generally toxic, but to be safe let it sit for a week to let the fumes escape.
