Hello

I been lurking for a few weeks and felt it was time to introduce myself.
My name is SAM and I have a 12 year old that really wants to keep ants. He has been trying to convince me for months and finally I agreed.

We're both still very new to the hobby, but we were successful in test tubing our first Crematogaster queen. Look forward to finding out how to build the right formicarium to meet her needs.

Welcome! You found a very fun type of ant to keep. Definitely get some fluon, though, and a good container because they are Houdinis.

I have a small colony of Crematogaster and I keep them in a Test Tube connected to an Ants Canada Test Tube Portal. Plenty of room for them to expand for a year  at least. :D
