No Colobopsis???
All of my Colobopsis queens died when mold started taking over their nests. The Colobopsis mississippiensis colonies are hard to keep alive as they require living White Ash trees. Queens will search White Ash Trees, looking for new stems, then they will tunnel into it and raise their first set of workers. I really don't have any space in my room to keep a giant White Ash Tree, although I may be able to keep a smaller one and start a nest that way.

No, Formica pallidefullva do that sometimes. I suspect it's a.dominance display of some sort.

No, Formica pallidefullva do that sometimes. I suspect it's a.dominance display of some sort.
Actually, that was my fault. I breathed on them and they got scared.
