So my Pheidole Queen has a pretty nice dent in her gaster. I saw someone saying somewhere else that it doesn’t bode well for her and that she’ll probably die. This my third Pheidole ever and all I’ve ever wanted out of anting is a single colony of Pheidole. Think she’ll make it?

It's impossible to tell even with fully normal Queens but that wouldn't stop me from doing everything I could to keep her going! :D I've heard of missing legs damaged antennae etc so maybe yours can overcome a dent. :D

Don't worry about it

I've had queens with dented gasters and all thrived.

This Iridomyrmex queen had dents in her thorax and gaster!
I actually found her under a brick with some Pheidole workers and a major...
