I don't have pictures currently but I have a camponotus pennsylvanicus queen with about 7-9 cocoons. She has had them for well over a week now. What's am I doing wrong? Yesterday I moved her to a new tube because her old was getting that nasty water. Hope to find out the problem, thanks!

Camponotus take a long time to develop. If you take a look at the care sheets for this species, pupae to worker time is estimated to be 18 to 25 days. I know for my Camponotus chromaiodes it took about 25 days for the first workers to develop after the first pupae appeared. Overall it took around 65 days (give or take a day or two) from first egg to first worker for me. Just be patient.

1 x Camponotus nearcticus (Monogynous), 1 x Crematogaster cerasi (Monogynous), 1 x Formica cf. subsericea (Polygynous Two-Queen), 1 x Formica cf. pallidefulva (Monogynous, single worker),
1 x Lasius cf. americanus (Pleometrotic Founding, now Monogynous), 1 x Tetramorium immigrans (Monogynous)

1 x Formica cf. subsericea (Monogynous)

Camponotus take time to pupate and longer in general to eclose compared to other species. I keep my colony in a room with A/C and have to heat them with a cable in order to see any growth, it speeds up the process but you need to monitor the temperature. I unplug my heating cable when it gets around 87 degrees F because that was the temp they brought their brood out of the nest before. It'll be fun when you update on your first workers!
