Hello! I am an ant keeper from Wisconsin and have been housing a couple colonies for about a year now. My favorite species is camponotus. I have been viewing posts on the forums for a while but have never made an account until now :P. I may be making some journals soon about my colonies so keep a watch out for that! I am happy to be a part of this community finally!

Welcome, I too was looking on here for a year, but only made an account a little while ago. Hope you learn a lot here!

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

Just a bit of info, camponotus is a genus. A species would be the name of the genus followed by speicies, like camponotus barbaricus.
