Hi everyone! I just wanted to know what to use to keep my THA Fortress warm because it is in an air conditioned room. I already have a heating cable, but it alone does not provide enough heat right now(it is on the left wall). All comments are welcome, and thanks for the help!

You could try wrapping the cable around the nest or you could try a heat mat. https://www.amazon.c...=gateway&sr=8-3 Brands like this have an adhesive you can stick to the wall of the formicarium you want to heat.

Is there any way to turn down the AC? Might as well let global warming work for your hobby if you can. If not, another tip I have is to elevate your colony up on a tall shelf or bookcase. You’d be surprised how much warmer it can be up a few feet.

I’ll look at heating pads, but the highest place in my room is my desk, which is where they currently are set up. I do not have a “no ac” option sadly, so is there any way to insulate the cable/mat to keep the heat close to the formicarium?

I’d look into CoolcolJ’s foam cooler incubator idea. He made a thread about it a few months ago.
