Will wasps rebuild a nest if destroyed or relocated?

Today I caught a vespula germanica Queen while she was collecting wood for her nest which I wasn’t able to find and I was wondering if she will rebuild it or not. If a wasp nest is destroyed does the colony die or do they build a new one?
