Hey Guys,

I have a couple of the AC Out Worlds that I'm wanting to clean. My question is what would be a safe way to clean the plastic? I don't want to scratch it all up or use something that may ruin it. the material they are made from seems a bit soft compared to other Acrylic type containers.

Any Ideas appreciated! :D

Actually it looks like AC Out Worlds are made of ABS Plastic? Is that the same as Acrylic?

ABS is not usually a crystal clear plastic.  And no, ABS is not the same as acrylic.

Check again and see if the clear part is polycarbonate or polystyrene.  Those aren't the same as acrylic, either, but are more likely what the item is made of.

Soap and water should be fine; that's what I use to clean all my plastic test tubes and outworlds. I've never had a problem before.

Just remember to wash the outworld with water a few times after you wash it with soap. Soap remnants aren't supposed to be harmful to ants, but you just want to be sure.

When washing outworlds, the type of plastic shouldn't really matter, unless you're using something like 10 cups of bleach, lol.
