Guys I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy when I saw that Queen!! They had killed a bunch just moving the poles before they knew and I was just hoping she wasn't one of the smashed!!

AND........ Thanks to Barristan's Program, It looks like we have a 500 worker Colony with a literal [censored] TON of Brood!!
I placed a couple small boards on the shelf for ants to hide under hoping they'll came back to the area and I'll see if I can catch some more to add!

Figured it was time for an update and since the USPS didn't deliver the stuff to expand my C. castaneus colony I decided to expand C. chromaiodes #2 Colony
This colony has had an explosion and there are literally a ton of workers in the Out World at any time it looks like. There appeared to be room in the main nest but I'm guessing the humidity in there is high. So I decided to take an empty AC Hybrid Formica Nest and hook it up!
We'll see how things go. I may be just giving them a bunch of new areas to store trash! We'll see!
C. Chromaiodes #1 colony is also doing very well

Gave both C. chromaiodes colonies a Feast yesterday! Caught 2 Katydids the night before (froze them overnight) so I offered 1 to each colony heres a short video!
About 48 seconds in I switch to the second colony not very smoothly either! LOL.
At about 1:20 look at the top of the video and you see a worker appear to be dragging off a Major? Wonder what was going on there?

Yeah I realy enjoy watching them at feeding time! especially when I dump a bunch of fruit flies in and they're running around hunting them down! I wanna expand the Out World but gonna wait until hibernation when I'm hoping they'll all go in the nest!

Both Large colonies doing well!! Didn't really hibernate either colony just allowed them to slow down. They still take food and honey and water (although much less) but no brood at all. Can't wait for them to start getting active again!
