Wood type for camponotus modoc

Does anyone know what type of wood I should use for a camponotus modoc nest? Would cedar be ok?

I'm hoping cedar would resist molding.

I don't know, I won't use wood at all, it's too hard to hydrate!

My other option is grout. Maybe i should go with that.
