I've got 2 nurbs certified queens with like 5-7 eggs each, going to include them in a huge journal I'm making soon.

Update 5-22-2019

These colonies are all doing great. Quite a few of them just got their first workers a few days ago. The nanitics are about the same size as the large black and red C. vicinus nanitics.

Update 5-22-2019

These are all doing very well. I think I have only had one queen die so far. By now they almost all have workers, and some close to ten or so.

Just got my 1st CA02 worker. My other two queens should have workers soon too. I kept mine in a drawer, dark, and without heat. And wow, my workers are late by almost a month. My room temp stays in the mid to low 70s. I’m guessing Drew’s ant room is much warmer haha.

How are they doing?

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

There is a important time for everything, important place for everyone, an important person for everybody, and an important ant for each and every ant keeper and myrmecologist alike

They flew for a few days, but they're probably finished by now.
