hi this a very common ant here in malta 3-5mm build nest with soil adjacent to small plants or rocks in not so wet areas

Looks like technomyrmex, a polygynous (multi queened) genus that is really easy to keep!

first of all thanks for the reply. as for the technomyrmex, I don't think that they live here in Malta. but it was very helpful as now I think that ill go for a tapinoma erraticum or nigerrimum.
