I froze an ant and it still hasn't woken up yet. Is it dead?

Give it a few more hours.  You are in the Philippines, so there is a good chance your ant could not tolerate freezing temperatures long.

Color it gold with a marker

What is the point of this?  You will most likely damage it by just coloring it with a maker.  If you aim to keep it alive, you will not keep something alive if you color it with marker.

We should respect all forms of consciousness. The body is just a vessel, a mere hull.

If you want to color the ant as a specimen, spray paint would probably be much easier.

Are you trying to do it to a living or dead ant?  If you are trying to do it while alive, the paint/marker will kill it anyways.

I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure it's a dead ant now. Good news, you can still colour it golden.

Well... fun here is defined by KEEPING ants. Not freezing them and coloring them golden. Though I can't really criticize because I have done much worse to other insects

If this is your idea of fun, you can go someplace else where animal torture is an approve activity.

Spray paint? Isn't that worse?

You still have not answered my question, are you doing this on alive or dead ants? I'm assuming you wish to do it to living ones, which is stupid, in my opinion.

I attempted to suggest spray paint to you if you were to color a dead ant, as it would be easier than a marker.

Do you have any goals when doing this or just for your own enjoyment?

Really? Don't make me mad?? How about behaving in a mature manner and not start fights like a child.
