If you're interested in buying ant queens or colonies in the USA then the seller has to be from the same state. Unless you have a permit or something along those lines. If you were willing to wait a few months and had the time to search for them, you could try to catch a queen during a nuptial flight.

Otherwise, it may help to know what type of species of ant you were looking to get. Also from my limited experience you should try to get a colony, not just a queen. Since there is no guarantee that a queen will successfully found a colony. Or just be aware that the queen you buy may not be fertile or may die before successfully founding.

There's a few of us on here from Indiana that may be willing to sell, just give it a few months for us to wake up our ants fully/ catch queens and for them to have their first workers.
