So i found this red mite. Inside my springtales culture. I saw it feeding from some rice. So they might not be the blood sucking kind. That kills colonies. Here are some pics

When I had a terrarium I saw some mites like these feeding on various decaying food. Mine were white though, but I think they are probably just the same. The ones in my terrarium never caused problems and just ate leftovers, especially the carrots I would feed to the crickets in the tank.

I accidentally froze all my ants

I also see mites in my outworlds, sometimes red and sometimes a darkish color. But they don't attach them to the ants. I think the best option for u would be checking the ants themselves. If so, is there a decreasing in population. Then yeah, you have to worry. If not. Everything is fine dx
