Btw, you aren't going to find much of anything but Tetramorium immagrans in Seattle, and that is if you're lucky. Probably because some of it is built right in the water. Gotta look in the woods. The suburbs of Marysville is a good place. Lots of diversity in the woods near Wal-Mart.Oh I know. You've been helpful.Well, I'm just going off of past experience that I have from when I lived there.Glad to hear some one is seeing Queens. I've not seen any yet in my neck of the woods. Maybe I need to plan some trips outside the city. Parks and green belts may just not provide enough habitat near me =/
Fastcbr10's report of a myrmica flight out in Oak harbor has me wondering why I've seen 0 flights of any species near by. It has me thinking I may need to expand my hunting grounds.

What species?
I assume Camponotus modoc, close to 20mm. Giant queen.
No other flights so far. Only caught formica paricites, myrmica, and Camponotus. Only 1 big flight day

I have found Myrmecocystus and Pogonomermex in Eastern Washington. When I move back I will be collecting some colonies near the Washington/Idaho boarder.
