I just started keeping ants, and I caught an unidentified queen in june. Sadly, the colony only made it to 4 workers before I decided to release them, as the colony had produced no brood for months. In 2019, I'm hoping to catch a pogonomyrmex queen, specifically pogonomyrmex californicus. If you have any tips, I would love to hear them.
