Garanhuns


2. Date of collection: 

06/Dec/2018


3. Habitat of collection:

I've found it inside my house


4. Length (from head to gaster):

Close to 14mm


5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: 

The head is black, the thorax is orange and the abdomen/gaster is orange with black stripes


6. Distinguishing characteristics:

I don't know


7. Distinguishing behavior:

I don't know


8. Nest description:

I don't know

 

9. Nuptial flight time and date:

I've found her around 10pm

I know someone in Rio Grande do Sul and they caught many Camponotus queens with similar gaster patterns and coloring a few days ago.

 

EDIT: I did Region Comparison on antmaps between your state and his, and found that Camponotus cingulatus has similar patterning in the workers. However, unless you get workers or find a queen specimen online, we can't be sure.
