I have a few formicariums for sale with digging medium! You'll be able to watch the ants digging and making tunnels! I have five for sale right now, two for founding formicariums, two for medium colonies, and one for a bigger colony. Small, white bug that appear are springtails, who are not harmful to the ants, but are beneficial! They feed on exoskeletons and any leftover food the ants don't eat (but are not a replacement for cleaning the formicariums yourself). Sometimes, they will even be hunted by the ants for food between meals. Of course, the formicariums will need to be moistened to keep the ants alive and hydrated. Please try to place any and all food on the rocks provided, as the sand will become discolored and absorb the ant's food.
