This journal will be recording the progress of my pheidole parva colony. These ants are common but minuscule, workers are about 1-2mm in length, whilst queens are 3-4mm. These are rather pretty with the workers ranging from dark red to light orange.

The first queen was caught on 12/10/18 and immediately laid a batch of eggs.

I'm not sure when, but at some point she got her first workers.

Then I added a second queen. I have since moved them into this formicarium. however, they piled plaster dust all over the chamber they live in so I can't really see anything.

So one of the queens died/disappeared, but they got their first major today.

At some point, the major disappeared, but now they have around 23 workers and a new batch of larvae.
