Hello All, I'm just a beginner and still have lots of research ahead of me before i take this hobby on but when i do decide to purchase a queen, (or catch one if I'm lucky) I would like to know if any are for sale in my area, I'm in dutchess county NY, and would be willing to travel a reasonable distance if I had to to purchase a queen.  I know that there are restrictions on purchasing ants outside of ones state, but I do also work in Connecticut so maybe I can just get to know some experienced ant-keepers there as well.

I am over in Ulster county and come spring I may have some Lasius americanus I'd be willing to part with. I caught a few queens, but none of them laid eggs before I put them in hibernation, so hopefully they are just waiting till spring like my Crematogasters did.

I would also recommend Major above me. I've bought/sold/traded with him and had no issues.
