Queen 1, caught at 3 AM last night in my house.

Queen 2, caught at around 5 PM less than a week ago on a near 80 degree day

Both appear entirely black. I'm assuming Queen 1 is Camponotus pennsylvanicus and I'm assuming Queen 2 is Campnotus nearcticus.

I am not super experienced yet but I would agree with you, definitely Camponotus.

1. Camponotus pennsylvanicus

2. Campnotus nearcticus

But you already guessed that.
