Captured colony while on a hike with bff

(transferring them into a container)

They have a gamergate and have laid a bunch of cylinder-shaped eggs.

they have a medium sized pile of brood.

(they have a slight mite problem though, This is a mite I removed from a pupae. Then I blow-torched the mite  :D )

Jealous, wish ponerines lived here in MD... oh well. Keep us updated though and cool ants!

Proverbs 6:6-8 New International Version (NIV)

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
    consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
    no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
    and gathers its food at harvest.
