I was curious if anyone whose tried keeping multiple Tetramorium sp. E queens together knows about how long it takes for a dominant queen to emerge and for that queen or the workers to kill the other queens. In Nathant's journal it took a bit less than a month before some of the queens were killed and that was before workers arrived.
The reason I'm asking is that I'm testing polygyny with my Tetramorium tsushimae queens. So far none of the polygynous setups have resulted in deaths and it's been a month and half since I caught most of them. One of these colonies has really taken off and has 8 workers, but both queens seem to be doing fine.
