Hi guys! I recently bought a formicarium from a known person here on formiculture knows as loops. It is an acrylic formicarium, and has a beautiful out world and hydrating system. This is hands down one of the best, if not the best formicarium I've seen. It is great for any species, because you can hydrate it to the right amount depending on if you have a dry loving species or a wet loving species.

When I got the box, it had fragile everywhere, and was sealed very well. Once I opened it, it was secured in and did not move at all. Not only that, but t was cushioned with styrofoam, bubble wrap, and a wrapping. It was going no where!

Once I took it out, I had to assemble it a little. The assembly was sort of hard, but once I got it, I well, got it. It was easy to set up and looked stunning afterwards.

Moving in my Camponotus Floridanus was the crazy thing. They went straight to the nest and made theirselves comfy. Note, these ants will not nest ANYWHERE, hey will just always be looking for a way out. Not this nest! It not only looks beautiful, it can be placed anywhere and still match anything. Loops has an extreme talent for these things, and I highly recommend buying. Out of a scale of 10, I would hands down give this a 10.

Thank you again loops!

Wow. That formicarium looks great! I also had no idea loops made formicaria. I will have to keep an eye out in the future.

Oh, it's about a foot long, the yellow are sponges and have tiny hydrating holes within the nest.
And I'm not sure

The callow nest kit costs 40 USD, pretty cheap compared to most formicariums.

Thanks, I'm probably gonna buy it, do I have to contact Loops, as I can't find this for sale on his website?

That was a custom built formicarium.
