I replied:

"This product is intended for people who keep ants in the home as pets. However, if the feeder was filled with an ant poison/bait, it may possibly rid your home of ants. No bait/poison is included with this item, so you would need to locate and purchase that separately."

Perhaps you found a new demographic to sell even more products.

You'll have to change your name from "BYFORMICA Antkeeping Products" to "BYFORMICA Ant Killing Products"

Why is this an unreasonable question? Are you all so soaked up in this hobby that you've forgotten that people consider ants in the home to be a pest deserving of extermination rather than as pets? If the feeder is designed to be the optimal solution to feeding ants, why wouldn't it also be an optimal way to feed ants poison? There's a million bait trap mechanisms and feeders out there and to someone without any exposure to ant keeping as hobby this may easily look like just another one of the same. You'd almost have to write "Uncle Milton Ant Farm" somewhere on the copy to make them begin to think otherwise.

I find stray cats immensely annoying and consider them pests. All over my street. I should ask if any of those Amazon pet bowls can be used to hold poison and place them outside.

Can’t they be taken to a shelter for adoption though? (I’m not an expert don’t quote me on this)

If this has caused you to lose faith then do not read about what has happened out at Joshua Tree National Monument lately.
